Core Features

The mission of the Salem Volunteer Fire Department is to protect lives and property from the adverse effects of fire, medical emergencies, and exposure to dangerous conditions created either by nature or man, in a progressive, cost effective, and community-oriented manner.

Steve Saunders, Assistant Fire Chief at Salem VFD, came to us based on a recommendation from the Greenwich Fire Department. He was looking for a crew to re-coat the floor of their 4,500 square foot apparatus bay. The existing epoxy floor coating was worn, failing, and looked unprofessional; certainly not an image the department wants to uphold, so Steve wanted a crew that would do the job quickly, but also do it right. With over 60 years of combined epoxy flooring experience and over 2 billion square feet of projects completed, Performance Industrial had the experience to not only get the job done, but also exceed expectations.

We started the job off on the right foot from the very beginning with a site visit to assess the condition of the floor, discuss options, and answer questions. From there, things moved pretty quickly; quote to job completion all happened within 3-weeks.

“The membership of the Salem Vol. Fire Dept. Inc. was very happy with the workmanship that Performance Industrial provided. All of the guys that worked on the Salem firehouse project were very professional and accommodating. If we had questions, comments, and concerns they took the time to explain things. There has been a lot of people that have visited the firehouse and they all have had nothing but good things to say about the floors throughout the whole building. Kudos to Performance Industrial for a job well done.” – Steve Saunders
