Industrial Cleaning for Adventures in Food & the Capital District Farmer’s Market

Cleanliness is of the utmost importance when it comes to food products and food preparation. When Eric Guenther decided to move his specialty foods market to the Capital District Farmer’s Market in Menands, the whole family got involved. Eric rented a building from Fred Cole, the General Manager of the Capital District Farmer’s Market.

The building was a storage warehouse, had been vacant for a period of time and was in need of a thorough cleaning and repairs. Eric’s father, regional facilities manager for Citizens Bank, recommended Performance Industrial as the only cleaning contractorhe would go with. Performance’s Industrial crew thoroughly cleaned the facility, using a combination of pressure washing technology, biodegradable detergents, hand scrubbing, and vacuuming to remove all dirt, grime, mold, mildew, weather marks, oxidation, and any loose or flaking paint. They paid special attention to cleaning the walk-in cooler.

Fred, who was committed to providing an environment that exceeded the Food Service Industry standards, said “It’s incredible! I would have never believed it was the same building.”

Eric and his father were also impressed and could now move on to opening the Adventures in Food Trading specialty food store. The store features high-end food products such as wild game, imported cheeses, special caviars, hard to find food items and special linens.

Eric said “Our backs were against the wall, we had to close up on Friday, move our whole operation into a vacant warehouse, and reopen ready to serve the public on the following Tuesday. Performance was here within 24 hours of our call. They showed up on time and did an unbelievable job! They finished ahead of schedule and we were able to meet our deadline.”
